Description
The true extent of the Hittite civilization was not revealed to the world until the last century. The Hittites had been mentioned several times in the Old Testament, but little was known about their civilization prior to archaeologists excavating and studying the site of the Hittite capital: Hattusa (in the present-day Republic of Turkey).
