Description
A syllabus of the introductory medieval philosophy course. This course considers ''philosophical questions and issues that were central to medieval discussion, including the relationship between faith and reason, the problem of evil, our ability to know God’s nature and describe it in human language, the implications of believing in God as a creator, and the “problem of universals.” Main philosophers discussed include St. Augustine, Boethius, Peter Abelard, St. Anselm, Avicenna, St. Thomas Aquinas and Bonaventure. It contains various tables and graphs.
