About the Event
Previous participation and previous knowledge are not required.
Demon lions slashing with razor-sharp claws, griffins soaring on enormous wings, and giants lurking in the Cedar Forest. Mesopotamian mythology is the source of some of our oldest stories of monsters, and the deities and heroes who battled against the forces of chaos.
Join Nicole Leist, Manager of Education Programs at the Morgan Library & Museum, for an interactive virtual tour of the Morgan’s collection of Mesopotamian art, and discover powerful amulets and cuneiform writing as you are introduced to hybrid creatures from thousands of years ago.
Participants will receive links to our Live Syllabus where readings and discussions are posted in the confirmation email after registration. If you do not receive an email, check your spam folder.
By RSVPing, you are agreeing that a recording of the event can be shared with others who RSVPed, and clips from the event may be shared on SASA's social media.
