Have you ever wondered what you can do with your knowledge of ancient history, besides being a professor? Are you nervous to study ancient history because you think you will need to know every fact about the world, too many dates, names, and places?

Join us on June 7th for our Live Ask an Expert Q&A; where you can hear about fun and innovative ways to bring ancient history to life in the modern day, and start planning your own future within ancient studies!

Featured:

David Bullen is a theatre director, writer, and academic, and is co-artistic director of By Jove. As both theatre maker and researcher, he specialises in the adaptation of ancient Greek drama. He has taught in the Department of Drama, Theatre, and Dance at Royal Holloway, University of London, since 2013.

Nicole Savin is a theatre-maker based on Long Island. She is a founding member of By Jove and associate artistic director at EastLine Theatre in New York. As a performer and director, her interests include theatre history, Yiddish theatre, and site-specific performance; most recently she has appeared as Chana in the Long Island-premiere of Paula Vogel's Indecent.

Christine Plastow is a Lecturer in Classical Studies at the Open University, UK, and an associate director of By Jove. She has historically done research and dramaturgy for the company, with more recent forays into writing. Aside from theatrical receptions of Greek tragedy, her research focuses on classical Athenian oratory, law, and society.
