About the Event

Built in 812, this temple was the worship place for the people of Ancient Mataram Kingdom, until the big eruption of Mt. Merapi covered this temple 6 m below the surface.

As it is with the other Hindu Temples, we can find beautiful carvings on its walls.

Come explore this beautiful ancient temple and learn about its interesting history! Through Heygo, Gagat will take you on a tour of this site all from the comfort of your home! Learn more and register, here: https://www.heygo.com/tours/sambisari-temple-a-holy-place-that-was-once-buried
