  • Interns will seek out potential partners, help draft language for outreach, & work to maintain and grow relationships.

Archaeogaming

  • Work with scholars to create complete Archaeogming lesson plans.

  • Preference will be given to individuals with prior experience in K-12 classroom settings, development of script guidelines, editing scripts & videos & distribution to public schools.

Inspire Campaign

  • Create 2022-2023 addition of SASA's Inspire Social Media Campaign

  • Take interesting ancient topics & connect them to scholarship behind the scenes

  • Hone your research & writing skills!

  • This position is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about creative design and seeks to enhance their experience in nonprofit contexts within a growing organization.

SASA is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator (Volunteer)

  • This is a volunteer (unpaid) position to assist with the recruitment of volunteers and seasonal interns for SASA, to organize and run SASA Internship Program events, and to help onboard and support new volunteers and staff.

  • This position is most well-suited to candidates with prior experience with interviewing, hiring, and human resources, as well as with a cheerful, engaging disposition. 

  • Expected hours: 10 hours per week.

(Volunteer, unpaid position)

● CASO Coordinator supports the development of the Coalition of Ancient Studies Organizations (CASO) and its projects, and liaises with member organizations and SASA Teams. For more information about CASO, see saveancientstudies.org/caso.
● This position is most well-suited to an advanced PhD Student, PhD Candidate, or Early Career Scholar in an Ancient Studies field who wants to actively pursue public outreach or work in a nonprofit setting, particularly at the executive level. People with project management and organizational liaising experience who are currently not affiliated with a university are also welcome to apply.
● Expected hours: 5-10 hours per week
● All meetings take place via video call and all work is done remotely.
